Today was mostly spent in the garden, the weather being far too glorious to avoid.
The weather was also perfect for Farnham’s Festival of Cycling which claimed Castle Street this morning and the Borough in the afternoon.
There were a lot of bikes lining up for the big charity ride. There were also a few stalls selling the sort of stuff that cyclists MUST HAVE.
Following Starbucks and shopping I headed back home. As I entered the lane that leads to the park, I thought it looked fabulous. I was fortunate that there was no-one in the shot because the park was very busy.
At home, Mirinda was happily Skyping with Bob so I hit the front garden and planted three snap dragons amid the hollyhocks and the rose. I then headed out the back.
After lunch, I attacked the Wildflower Patch (planted cornflowers), the Hot Border (terracotta yarrow and yellow snaps)…
…the Day-z Bed (penstemons) and, finally, The Garden of One Thousand Yaps (fox gloves). I still have a few to plant in various spots but they will have to wait because I had to start dinner (slow simmered pork belly which took three hours) while Mirinda took to the grass for a bit of a read in the sun.
As a special treat, here’s Mirinda’s tour of our Summer Garden:
Thank you that was very nice I don’t get to see Miranda much she did a great commentary, I think your garden is looking lovely keep up the good work lol love mum xxxxx
