Grim weather

Today, weatherwise, it was decidedly awful. There was one moment of brightness when the clouds went wherever clouds go and the sun made an appearance very low on the horizon but that was very short-lived. I know because it was when we went for a walk.

I was sitting on a recliner and the sky was suddenly blue. I asked Emma if she thought a walk was a good idea. Without weighing any options other than her own need to chase a tennis ball, she was very keen.

We hadn’t gone very far before the clouds came back (from wherever they’d been) and started raining on us.

Freya immediately ran off, looking for shelter – she does hate the rain – while Emma just wanted me to throw her ball again. And again.

The rain wasn’t heavy enough to cause that much trouble though the dogs were in need of a good towelling by the time we returned home.

The rest of the day was spent in the library building a cable and electronics hiding cupboard out of six plywood wine boxes. I couldn’t finish because of a general lack of panel pins. This will have to wait for Thursday to finish because I’m off to the Science museum tomorrow for a Christmas treat.
