I was halfway through cleaning the bathroom at the flat when my phone rang. I missed the call but rang straight back. It was Gavin who works for the company laying the floor in the soon to be library, next week. He wanted to know if he could drop the wood around today. I said I was in London. We organised it to arrive first thing tomorrow morning.
At first glance, this might not seem to be a problem however, after a more considered look, I realised I’d have to empty the lounge room as soon as I got home. Again, this doesn’t sound too bad except that everything has to be stacked well out of the way for Amanda and John on Wednesday for the installation of the window. Needless to say I finished the flat as quickly as I could and was on the 3:30 train home.
Of course I wasn’t so quick that I forgot to take a photo of the site across the road.

After shopping and walking home I arrived to find Mirinda keen to take the girls to Frensham. It was a beautiful afternoon and she wanted to enjoy it completely. I had to let them all go on their own as I started moving boxes.
It took me almost two hours but, eventually I’d cleared a space big enough for the wood.
A rather hectic day punctuated by two train trips… so at least I had a bit of a doze.

The building site is now pretty noisy during the day. I guess that might continue for a couple of years!
And my walk at frensham was glorious.
Yes it didn’t look very busy, but it has started to change.
I bet shame Gary couldn’t go but another time cant wait for the library to be finished and to see the window in Gary sent me a photo if you stare at it long enough you get drawn into it so lovely.
