Today, work on the Higgledy Piggledy Palisade progressed to a point where I realised I’d need more stakes to finish it.
By the end of the day, it looked good enough to photograph so here’s an update.
Oddly, Dave next door knew exactly what I meant when I told him I was building a Higgledy Piggledy Palisade. And I thought Mirinda had made up the concept and I’d made up the name. Annoying.
Speaking of names, The Garden of One Thousand Yaps will be a bit odd when Emma no longer has anything to bark at. Fortunately, I like that. Roads with names that no longer make sense are a delightful mystery and our garden should be no different.
It was such a lovely day to spend in the garden. I had the big doors wide open, music playing, the water feature burbling (after I cleaned it out) and almost put my shorts on. Maybe tomorrow.
More tulips opened up and sucked in some delicious vitamin D and the magnolia looked magnificent against the blue sky.
Add to all that the fact that Freya appears to have finished being in season and it was a brilliant day.

I’m jealous! And the fence looks eccentric
So that’s what it looks like very nice i like it.and how lovely all the flowers coming out and the trees so pretty why it must be getting warm thinking of putting your shorts on I have not stopped wearing mine since I have been home. I bet the dogs love it with you out with them. I have pulled a musele in my left leg under the knee, have no idea how all i did was stand up after having coffee with Denise came home and had a terrible time getting out of the car. Got my bus trip next week what a pain.
