Not quite murder

It was not murder. The knife came close but did not kill the evil Rob Titchener. The police dragged Helen off in chains and the village was left in shock. Meanwhile the newspapers are having a field day. This was on the front page of this morning’s Daily Mail:

Putting the unfolding drama to one side for a moment… here’s the latest update on our window. It’s been leaded, cemented, set and is now drying. And it looks a little something like this:

We think it’s just perfect. It’s going to look brilliant in the extension.

As for the general health in the house…things are still not good. Though Mirinda’s voice is gradually returning, which is a sign pointing in the right direction.

Needless to say, nothing was done in the garden. The girls didn’t get a walk but that was more the weather than a cold excuse.

Hopefully I’ll be back in the garden tomorrow. Here’s an ornamental quince to be getting on with…

But back to The Archers…the country seems to be awash with the story line. Even the Prime Minister’s office released a statement and Pam Ayres wrote a poem on Twitter.

Gut-wrenching scenes to make you stagger,
Helen stabbed him with a dagger
Lying in his bloodstained shirt
Rob got his pie and his dessert.
