In the park today there were a lot of dogs. It was as if every individual walker had borrowed a load of spares. And most of them were randy males. So poor Freya spent a lot time on the lead or in my arms.

While the walk wasn’t all that exciting for Freya, Emma made up for it by chasing her ball hither and yon.

On the walk we found this rather odd bit of craft work.

The face is made up of bits of forest litter. The hair, for instance, is evergreen leaves, the mouth a stick and the nose and eyes, bits of mud. The only introduced part is the white paper.

We were spared any rain today though the sky did look rather threatening a number of times. This, of course, meant I spent most of the day in the garden removing as many nasty nettles as I could find.

I also spent a lot of time trying to fill out a very long form which required a lot of information to be gathered from every imaginable location throughout the house.

I didn’t manage to finish the form but the nettles are gone.
