Went for a drive to Hartley Wintney. Very cute ‘village’ full of antique shops and very busy roads. Spoilt somewhat by the traffic as it’s situated on two (a T junction) main roads.
Lots of commons though and the first English church I’ve visited that didn’t have any information or a postcard for sale at the entrance. Amazing as its first rector was in 1212!
Didn’t go to where the postcard (above) is but it was all I could find. Looks 1950’s-ish.
Had paninis in an antique shop cafe.
A nice day out. Mirinda supposed we lived there but way too noisy though houses all cute. Afterwards came home via Upper Farringdon – now there I’d live.
