Mirinda went to the Royal Opera House tonight to see the Royal Ballet production of Giselle. She said it was very traditional and very good. I said I was so glad I didn’t go.
Rather than tutus and toile, I was watching the puppies run all over the Queen’s Bottom in between digging up weeds and moving pots. I was rather glad the Wilis weren’t around because I was worn out enough from the physical work without having to dance as well.
The photo above looks delightfully empty however this was not the case. There were a lot of dog walkers about as well as a group of uni students having a kick-a-bout.
Not that any of them bothered us. We had a jolly good wander.
In the garden, I weeded the path (always a big, fiddly job), weeded Carmen’s Sweet Escape and started moving the big pots and potting stuff from up the back in preparation for the new tool huts.
At one stage, Freya came up behind me to say hello (her cold, wet nose on my back instantly gained my attention) and I asked her where Emma was. She didn’t appear to be anywhere.
I looked in all the usual places (bed, stairs, lounge, etc) but found her on the cushion in the kennel. Brilliant! This goes with finding Freya in there in the morning. Nice to see them using it.
Here’s a late update (given I was in The Netherlands on Sunday) of Deer’s Leap.

Wow they are getting on with Dear’s Leap, isn’t it funny you see all these people then when you take a photo they have disappeared, but it looks lovely so nice and green very hot here still. The ballet sounded great.
love mum xx
