It was book group today so I headed off for the flat for the monthly clean.
We had the usual wait for a platform outside Waterloo but otherwise the trip in was lovely and uneventful. This is the view from the stopped train.
It’s rare that I get to see Waterloo station without all the platforms full of people and trains so I just had to snap this:
After due consideration I’d have to say that that was my unexpected thing for today.
Of course the trip across London via the Jubilee Line was quick and without hassle and I soon found myself strolling through the underground shops as I made my way to Itsu then Starbucks (I am SUCH a creature of habit).
The first job at the flat was to clean the windows so I took this photo from the balcony for mum so she can keep an eye on developments at the new block that’s rapidly going up.
I was very quickly done and heading back to the Tube, Waterloo then home.
Leaving the train at Farnham is always lovely. The air seems fresher and tastier, the crowds somewhat smaller.
After a latte at Starbucks, I headed for Waitrose before being picked up by my generous wife. Then home.
Poor Day-z wasn’t too well today and tonight. She was very shaky in her back legs when she stood up and she took ages to eat her dinner… then she only ate half of it halfheartedly. She spent a lot of time asleep meaning we had to keep checking that she was still alive. I’ll see how she is in the morning and maybe take her to the vet. I hate to think of her suffering.
Thanks for the photo out side the flat, looks like they have put in all the pillons if thats what they are called. I went with you in my mind all round by the shops.
love mum xx
