In slightly colder Sweden, Denise attempted to keep Tracey out of jail for inciting the royal guards while catching wrong buses and cruising the harbour. After a visit to the canals and the palace, they found mum a retirement home then visited some very posh toilets.
Oh, and Denise found a rather hunky soldier to bring home.
A fairly typical touristy day of the Scandi Adventure then…
While back here in sunny Britain, it’s all but. We’ve had rain pretty much all day which means wet and miserable dogs, lots more leaves on the terrace…
…and an unpleasant walk to the FATN studios for an early Farnham edition. Still, the weather took a back seat while we produced a hilarious Farnham Herald for our listeners.
It was helped because John (my favourite male reader) was with us but I also had a new reader (for me) Corrina who, having settled down to my style of mayhem, joined in with the general jollity. It really was a lot of fun.
On the way back, I stopped to snap another of Farnham’s Yards. This one is now a lane that leads to the Central Carpark.
According to the book Farnham Past, this is not, in fact, Goats Head Passage but, rather, part of Nichol’s Yard. John Nichols opened a post office on the Borough quite close and this was the Yard that led down the side. These days it just leads to the Central Carpark via the back entrance to Boots.
In the meanwhilst, mum was locked in the house with only the dogs for company and leftover soup for food. And biscuits. She really has an amazing appetite for biscuits. Who knew?
She also seems to have selective hearing (a bit like Day-z). While deaf to most things I say, she claims I’m the noisiest cook in the world. This is probably true but even so…
I had a lovely rest with the dogs no bashing around in the kitchen Lol
love mum xx
