Not a lot to report today. The builders didn’t turn up and I spent most of the day in the house, packing and chucking.
I am truly amazed at how much stuff we’ve managed to conceal in our tiny house over the years. One of those, not so concealable items was the big bookcase.
Like the smaller one last week, I placed it on the extraordinary Freecycle and, within ten minutes, had a reply. It was agreed the person would pick it up this evening. And, would you believe it? It was another Schumanian. At least, this time, the car was a better size. Even so, it only worked with the driver’s seat pushed well forward. The guy was at least 6 feet tall and would have been driving with his knees behind his ears. Still, it went and we were both happy.
The only other thing that happened today was that Paul the Landscaper arrived to measure up the back garden for the design. He spent around two hours measuring anything that failed to move.
He probably even included this, our first tulip of the year.
And, just for the record…The bed Mirinda bought yesterday was to replace the one she’s been sleeping on at the flat, mother.
HAHA Gary Charles, I got the message, and yes we know its your bed in our spare room.
Love mum and dad xx
