Testing my new keyboard

I have bought a new bluetooth keyboard to make typing easier on my tablet. It was due to arrive today between 11:50 and 12:50. That was good. It meant I could work in the office for a bit, before moving into the house to wait for the knock on the door.

As the clock passed 12:30, I decided to have lunch. As the clock passed 1:30, I figured the delivery driver must have been having a hard time. When I logged in to track my delivery, it was still due to be delivered between 11:50 and 12:50.

I couldn’t really leave the house, so I pottered around, cleaning up, finding Mirinda’s headphones down the back of the lounge, trying to get my tablet to recognise an old card reader I have…the usual sort of things one does when waiting for a delivery. Every now and then I’d refresh the tracking delivery to discover that nothing had changed, apart from the fact that the delivery had yet to be made.

By about 5pm, I sent an email off to the delivery company, asking if and when it was going to arrive. I was told that the driver was running a bit late and would try and make all his deliveries. That wasn’t particularly helpful. I replied, asking when I could safely leave the house…the reply has yet to appear.

The next time I refreshed the delivery tracking page, it told me that the parcel had returned to the depot. I was a bit annoyed at this stage, given there were things I had wanted to accomplish outside the house as well as take the poodles to the park.

Then, suddenly, out of nowhere, Keith arrived with my parcel. At 6:30. Apparently, he’d been on the road since 6am.

His van had been a bit rough yesterday when he finished work and they’d told him it would be fixed for the morning. It wasn’t. The replacement van they gave him was a bit bigger than normal and caused him a lot of grief on the tiny roads. It was also quite late arriving for him to start work. After dropping off my keyboard, he still had nine more deliveries to make. Poor Keith.

I quickly unwrapped my new keyboard, turned it on, paired it with my tablet and started typing. I have typed this entire post with it. What a wonderful thing, it is.

The reason I bought it was so it can make typing easier on the tablet when I’m away…particularly in Marrakech. I’m loving it.

Oh, and the last time I looked (at 7pm), it was still due for delivery between 11:50 and 12:50. And I didn’t get the card reader to work.
