We had a lot of fog surrounding the south east of Britain today. It was so bad in London, that planes were grounded at some airports and the ferries on the Thames didn’t bother leaving the shed. In Canary Wharf, all you could see were the tops of the skyscrapers, peeking out of the clouds. According to Mirinda, it was all very eerie.
It was pretty much the same in Farnham…without the skyscrapers.
As I walked back from the shops, a chap with whom I usually discuss the weather, said I looked like Clint Eastwood in The Good, the Bad and the Ugly as I emerged from the fog, hat on head with purposeful stride. I said I’d rather not be the Ugly so he changed it to A Fist Full of Dollars.
The fog lifted for a bit in the afternoon so I didn’t lose the dogs in it when we went up to the park after lunch but it descended once more when I left for Date Night.
Mirinda was at the flat, having spent breakfast at Westminster with a Very Influential Peer of the Realm. She told me about the inactive ferries, describing how she, bravely, took the Tube. When she was on her way back and strolling down by the Thames, she couldn’t see the South Bank, the fog was so thick.
We made a welcome return to our favourite restaurant (Lotus) before I made the long, cold journey home again.
If there was any singing in first class tonight, I didn’t hear it as I was thoroughly enjoying The Heat on my tablet. What a very funny film. I do like Sandra Bullock and, since seeing Identity Thief, rather like Melissa McCarthy as well.

My favourite film Melissa McCarthy is so good it is all natural with her I have always liked Sandra Bullock in all of her movies its one I could watch again see if I can get it for dad. Wow!! that fog reminds me of when we were kids only it was worse you had to walk one foot in the road one foot on the pavement. Did Mirinda have to curtsy.
