I was up very early this morning, waiting for Mirinda to arrive. Her plane was half an hour early (according to the handy Heathrow airport app n my phone) so I had to be up even earlier than I thought.
Carole pulled up at about 8am and I went out and helped with the luggage. Poor Mirinda looked very tired.
After a cup of tea and a sit down, I suggested that Mirinda go and have a few hours sleep – she didn’t get more than a few hours on the plane. She agreed and managed to stay awake long enough to get upstairs, whereupon she was asleep almost instantly.
I went shopping, leaving her with the poodles.
It was a glorious morning, though cold, a fact repeated to me by just about everyone I passed on the path into town.
Mirinda slept until 12:30, when I woke her for lunch.
Most of the afternoon I spent in my office, getting her new website up and working.
It was an early night in our house. So good to have her home again.
