On the Radio 4 news this evening, was a story about a cat on the underground. It boarded a train at Seven Sisters during the rush hour and managed to find a seat. A volunteer from Battersea Dog and Cat home found it and took it to the centre. The staff now call it Oyster. Genius.
No call from Mirinda today as she’s flying back home tonight. However, she sent me a few Doha photos. Here’s three of them. The first one is from the beginning of her trip when she went on the dhow.
This second one is from her night at the palace.
And, finally, one of the desert at sunset.
Meanwhile, back here in sunny Farnham, a million miles from the sandy wastes, we’ve had news of impending snow. That’ll make a difference for her.
In local news…Today I had lunch with Dawn. We ate at Cafe Rouge and I told her all about China and she told me all about Turkey (she went for a week with her cousin and the kids). We had a lovely time. We meet up so rarely that it’s a major treat when we do.
Lovely picture on the Dhow. All things must come to an end.

I love the shot in the desert. But it is upside down.
No it’s not…well, only on your iPhone. It’s fine on a real computer.
