Walking and beer

Dawn and Nick called around at 10am and we set off for our pub walk.

I have no idea where we were but we ended up climbing Bexley Hill – very steep. We managed to get lost when the book we were using for navigation, went wrong.

All ended up okay, though, and we downed a much deserved (or so we thought) pint before driving to the Duke of Cumberland for lunch. Had a naughty but nice Ham, egg and chips…and a few more pints.

Poor Carmen had a bit of a fright tonight. They were both lying on the dining room floor (it’s cooler than the carpet) when some idiot let off a very loud, very close firework. She ended up lying on my lap (unheard of for Carmen), shivering, staring in fear at the back door while I progressed through Jak II on the Playstation.

It took a few hours for Carmen to calm down. Day-z, on the other hand, was completely unaffected. A bit odd as she’s generally scared of everything. Maybe she’s going deaf as well.

Haven’t heard from Mirinda for days and I’m missing her SO much. She should be on her way back to Dural so, hopefully, tomorrow I’ll hear from her. Thank the gods there’s text messaging!
