Long lunch at the pub…AGAIN! Then off to the airport to meet Denise.
Her flight was delayed by 50 minutes so I had a beer and waited in the bar. Denise finally appeared at about 7:30pm. Apparently the plane was delayed on the tarmac at Kuala Lumpur while they changed a light bulb. An hour. How many airport staff does it take to change a light bulb? One, but he needs 60 minutes to do it. So, not English inefficiency this time.
Went to Alamo to pick up her hire car. The woman at the desk waved, vaguely at Group C and said “Take your pick from those.” There were about 30 cars to choose from. The run to Haslemere was excellent.
It was great sitting in the lounge chatting. Of course the puppies loved having a new person to lick to death. Carmen got all affectionate. Again. Eventually Denise crashed at about 10:30 while I played PS2 until midnight.
