I am the oldest grunge

At least that’s what my mother reckons. After I explained to her what ‘grunge’ was, at any rate. Clearly I was born too early for the perfect Gaz fashion.

We had a rather quiet day except for a trip to Sunland (which is now called Stocklands) which dad joined us for. We almost had a bit of a traffic pile up when dad and his wheelie walker zoomed passed two old dears and their wheelie walkers. They were going way too slow, he said. He also wasn’t that keen on creating a convoy.

I realise I’ve not shown any of the beach lovers, this trip. So, to remedy that, here’s some.

…seagulls are about it. There’s generally a few people wandering along the boardwalk in the late afternoon but no-one brave enough to hit the water. I’m not sure why because the water wouldn’t be especially cold. And, apart from today, it’s been bright and sunny.

We did have a visit from Rosey today. She gave mum and dad their yearly medical check-ups. Pretty amazing this can be done at home, I have to say. Mind you, Rosey is one hell of a talker (beats mum into a cocked hat) which meant we didn’t have lunch (dinner) until 3pm. Still, she gave mum and dad a pass and that’s all that matters, I guess. Still have no idea why, though.

We also had a sort of visit from Dianne. She worked with mum in the dark ages. She lives in Holland (she’s Dutch) and tried Skyping today. Her camera wasn’t on, so we heard her but didn’t see her. On the other hand, she could see everything at our end. Unfortunately she was using an iPad so I couldn’t really help her.
