Fresco
The fresco in the Abbey at St-Meen-le-Grand. Having had a quick look on Wikipedia, it seems to have a somewhat checkered career. Founded in the 6th century by Meven it had fallen into disuse by the 8th century. Helocar refounded it in 818 but then the Vikings destroyed it in 919. About 100 years later it was reconstructed as a Benedictine monastery and, during the 17th century passed through the hands of Maurists, Oratorians and Lazarists. I have no idea who these people are but I'm assuming the last lot worship Lazarus and the ability to come back from the dead. I have no idea what the frescoes mean.
