Birthday girl

It was Book Group today so I was off up to the flat for its monthly clean though not before wishing Mirinda a happy birthday and surrounding her with presents.

She had a jolly good time covering the puppies in wrapping paper and presents. The puppies were on the bed so it was inevitable, really.

I left her listening to some beautiful guitar music while I headed into town.

Nothing worth reporting happened – I cleaned, I left, I headed back home. Of course I took a photo of the Maine Tower progress for mum…

…but that was about it.

The only thing that happened on the train trip home was an old lady at Waterloo who couldn’t lift her wheelie bag onto the carriage. She stood at the open door and, in a very plummy accent called out “Could someone help me, please!”

Naturally I leapt from my seat and happily lifted the bag for her. It was amazing how many people were just walking passed her. Anyway, I did the reverse at Farnham and she was very grateful.

I managed to get home before Mirinda and managed to calm the dogs down before she did arrive and set them off again…which was a shame because we had to head out again to buy a new steamer for the terrace.

We then headed out for dinner at Loch Fyne.

Finished her oysters

The food was lovely though the restaurant was very quiet. Given it was a Monday night, this was not entirely surprising.

The Birthday Girl there she is with her champers and couldn’t work out what was in the other hand but looked good, hope you got lots of lovely things and had a great day. The Maine Tower doesn’t look as if they have done very much since the other photo. Thank you at least I can see it.
    Love mum xxxx
